We believe 100% in MOTIVATED TRAINING!  What is Motivated Training?  Motivated training is no more than Correction-Praise-Consistency. That is, when you dog does the wanted act, he is praised, when he does the unwanted act, he is corrected and you do this every time.  We also believe in food reward.  We work 100% on the dogs’ natural drives, the strongest drive being survival and the dog must eat to survive.

WE DO NOT believe in FORCE TRAINING. Force training is just that all force, you do it or I will force you to do it by correction only. There are lots of trainers out there that work only, and believe only, in the Force Training Method, like “no touch, no talk, no eye contact” (that is FORCE TRAINING)

We offer a training staff that has 30+ years in dog training with motivated training methods and we have had a great success rate.

We have an 8-week basic obedience school.  During this 8 weeks, you and you dog will learn: heal, sit, down, stay, and come when you’re called. We teach the correct way in basic obedience so if you want, you can continue and compete with your companion in any type of competition.  On the eighth week we hold a graduation with a trophy for first place and awards for second and third, you also receive a certificate of completion upon passing this competition.

Your dog will learn the commands, “GOOD DOG-BAD DOG” this are the basic command for you’re dog to learn.  Once your dog fully understands these two commands you can teach him anything you want: fetch the paper, bring you a towel, bring your slippers, fetch you toilet paper, get you a drink from the ice box!  As good dog means he has done the wanted act and he knows he will be rewarded and bad dog means he has done the unwanted act and he will not receive a reward he wants.

Also once he understands these two commands, most if not all-behavioral problems can be solved.  Dog Training is NOT rocket science; it is common scenes!  With the proper instructions and common scenes, you can have the companion you have always wanted.  That is our goal at J & E K-9 Academy! Our slogan: “An Obedient Dog is a HAPPY Dog” means just that, if your dog has a job, or performs the wanted act for you, he will get his reward and that makes him happy.  I truly love dogs, all breads of dogs, and love to see them perform for their handlers. Weather it is the smallest of breads, or the largest, a Police Canine, a Tracking Dog, a Cadaver Dog, a Therapy Dog, a Seeing Eye Dog or just Companion, you can successfully train them with the Motivate Training Method!

Upon complication of our basic class we also offer Intermediate and Advanced Obedience Training. As well as we work one on one with our clients with private lessons at your home or the training field.
